Actress Katrina Kaif has decided to play it safe this year. She is ringing in her birthday today with her family in London. The actress who turns 25 today, has ensured that she is far way from all filmi folk and is celebrating her big day with only her family and relatives.
In fact, the actress is so keen to stay away from filmi folk that she is believed to have not even invited Akshay Kumar, her favourite co star, who is supposedly shooting in London for Sajid Khan’s Housefull. Katrina has definitely learnt her lesson from last year. This day, last year, the actress rung in her birthday in Mumbai with her colleagues and friends from Bollywood, but the occasion went down in filmi history as the day when the historic Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan feud took place. So to ensure that there are no bad memories to haunt her for yet another year, the actress has decided to take the wise decision to keep away from all filmi folk this year. The actress is believed to be taking a small holiday with her family, something that she has not been able to do for quite a while. The actress is riding high where her career is concerned. Her last release, New York has been declared the ‘sleeper’ hit of the year. She has some very exciting films coming up for release like Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Prakash Jha’s Rajniti and Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan with Akshay. For a girl who came from London not too long ago, one who could even speak a proper sentence in Hindi, today Katrina has come a long way. She is much more confident about her Hindi speaking skills as well as her acting. Brand Katrina is also on a upswing with the actress managing to eat away into even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s share. This much is sure, Katrina is currently not going anywhere. With New York proving that she can act as well, Katrina has managed to silence most of her critics.
