In the past months, the couple has been increasingly making solo appearances. In fact, industry watchers have noticed that the two have not been seen together in a long time now.
While John has been making his mandatory appearances for endorsements and such, Bips too has been showing up at parties and events solo. Hrithik Roshan’s birthday bash was a case in point, where sources say the Bong beauty was keen on coming with beau John, but he reneged. Bipasha was still seen having a good time at the do, albeit, by herself.
Bipasha, of course, dismisses the latest set of rumours out of hand, saying that while she and John have been too busy with their projects to attend events together, they are still very much a couple. Friends, though, disagree, saying while the duo has been busy in the past as well, they have always made time for each other, something they aren’t doing now.
For the record, Bipasha and John, both have had their share of rumoured flings over the years. While it wasn’t long ago that Basu was famously linked to soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo in a series of paparazzi pics, John was apparently smitten with co star Vidya Balan while shooting Nikhil Advani’s ‘Salaam E Ishq’.
Insiders’ intuition suggests that the vibe between the two has chilled after being together for eight years now and that duo’s relationship is caught in the doldrums.
Still, one hopes that this iciness is only momentary, for the two really look good together. And simply put, a good thing mustn’t go to waste.
