Yesteryear’s Bollywood heartthrobs Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor are suffering from age-related ailments. Both the brothers, aged 79 and 72 respectively, have been hospitalised for the past few days. Shammi, who is admitted to Mumbai Breach Candy hospital following chest infection and kidney ailment, is recovering. However the condition of Shashi Kapoor, who is undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, remains unstable.
Amitabh Bachchan, a good friend of both the actors, visited them recently and tweeted about it. “Went to visit Shashi Kapoor in hospital and pained to see him in such condition… prayers for him please…,tweeted Big B. Bachchan, in his blog, wrote: “I have been to visit Shammi Kapoor in hospital. He is unwell, in a different hospital. He was his most charming self as always and joked and laughed over his condition.”
Apparently, both the actors have requested their families to discharge them from their respective hospitals, and not to be taken abroad, so that they spend some more time with their families.
