For all those who like Asian music, art and – of course – Asian food, this year’s London Mela is sure to prove a treat. Hailed as the biggest celebration of Asian culture, lifestyle and vibes outside the Indian sub-continent, the London Mela in Ealing, north west London last year attracted a record 55,000-strong crowd. And this year, organisers expect to smash that record.
The festival, which is completely free of charge, takes place on Sunday, August 16, at Gunnersbury Park, W3. Anyone who’s been to the London Mela before will already know that there will be plenty of activities and attractions for all ages. For those who’ve not had the pleasure of attending Mela before, here are just some of the things to look forward to.
This event is linked with Indians In London group on facebook. All the members are invited to enjoy the mela in a big group. Members can bring their family and friends as well. Mela is suitable for people of all ages.
