Actress Priyanka Chopra is excited as well as nervous as her long cherished dream is now coming true. Yes, She has signed a recording deal to release her first international music album! She makes her international music debut by signing a deal with UMG and Desi Hits.
Priyanka Chopra, the heartthrob of millions and the reigning queen of Indian cinema, will release her much-awaited debut music album in North America with Desi Hits through Interscope Records and in other International markets on Island Records UK.
Priyanka Chopra, one of the most recognized talents in Indian cinema, is a recipient of the prestigious Indian National Film Awards amongst many others. She is acknowledged as one of the most versatile actors with many path breaking performances. Priyanka is also actively involved in her role as the National Ambassador for UNICEF in India and the Green Ambassador of a nationwide environment awareness campaign in India.
Her music debut will add another dimension to this actor, humanitarian, green crusader and brand ambassador.
Music is in her gene as her father Ashok Chopra is a trained singer and has enthralled audiences with his Mohammad Rafi songs on a number of occasions. Trained Western Classical singer, Priyanka is currently in the studio, writing and recording her debut pop album, which will be sung in English.
“OMG OMG…it’s finally happened. Big day for me guys… goin nuts!! I’ve just signed a recording deal to release my debut International music album. The album will be in English & will have a worldwide release (sic),” Priyanka said on Twitter.
“I’ve already started working on the album. It’s scary but so very exciting & I’m counting on your support as I begin this exciting new journey,” Priyanka said.
