Vidya Balan to sue website for her fake bikini pics

Popular actresses are an easy target of digital exploitation. Many websites, magazines, film journals, use digitally manipulated photos of heroines, to gain popularity. Fake X-rated pictures and videos of heroines are found all over the internet. This time, the graceful Vidya Balan is a victim of morphing.

Vidya Balan’s picture donning a transparent black bikini has become the cover page of men’s magazine ‘Maxim’, for the Annual 2011 edition. And her morphed picture has been also posted on some websites. When Vidya saw the magazine cover, she was dismayed, as she never shot for the magazine in a bikini. She is determined to take legal actions against the magazine and those websites.

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif and her sister Isabelle have also been the prey of web harassment. Kaif’s mother Susanne Turquotte had condemned the people involved with such acts in a press note, “Katrina is aware of the malicious posts that have come up from time to time on the net. That she has kept quiet all his while doesn’t mean that she will keep quiet all the time. She’s also considering legal options for websites and software applications that tend to draw users using these tactics,” reports DNA.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Celina Jaitley, Preity Zinta, Mallika Sherawat, Sonakshi Sinha, Nayanthara, Trisha Krishnan, Namitha and Pooja Bhatt have been preyed upon by the publicity stunts of magazines and websites. These kind of cheap things are still on a rise, many websites rely on these fake X-rated photos to attract people. Losing one’s dignity is the heavy price that today’s heroines have to pay for being popular.
